Privacy Policy
Last updated: 17 August 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Square Roots s.r.o., operating as Fearless Sleep (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles personal data when you visit fearlesssleep.com, subscribe to Fearless Sleep Letters, contact us, book an individual call, or use the Fearless Sleep Library.
We handle personal data in accordance with applicable data-protection law, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Slovak law.
2. Who is responsible for processing of your data
Square Roots s.r.o.
- Dobrovskeho 9, Bratislava, Slovakia
- Company registration number: 53706137
- Email: hello@fearlesssleep.com
Square Roots s.r.o. is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. This means that we decide why and how that data is processed.
3. What data we process
Depending on how you use Fearless Sleep, we may process:
- technical website information, such as IP address, browser/device information, requested pages, and date and time of access, held in hosting logs;
- your name, email address, and the content of an enquiry you send us;
- newsletter subscription information, including your email address and subscription status;
- booking and payment-related information, such as contact details, appointment details, transaction information, and communications about a call;
- information you choose to share when asking for support or taking part in a call;
- Library account, membership, community, and content information, including information you choose to post in Circle;
- consent choices for cookies and optional external services.
Please do not send medical records or other sensitive health information. Fearless Sleep is educational support and is not a healthcare provider.
4. Why we use data
We use personal data to:
- operate, secure, and improve the website;
- reply to enquiries;
- send Fearless Sleep Letters to people who have subscribed;
- arrange and provide individual calls;
- process payments, provide customer support, and keep required business records;
- provide and administer the Fearless Sleep Library;
- send essential service messages, such as booking, access, billing, or security information;
- send marketing messages only where permitted by applicable law and with a clear way to unsubscribe;
- establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
5. Legal basis for processing
Depending on the situation, we process personal data because:
- it is necessary to take steps at your request or perform a contract with you;
- we must meet a legal obligation, for example accounting or tax obligations;
- you have given consent, for example for the newsletter or optional external services; or
- we have a legitimate interest in operating a secure website, replying to enquiries, administering services, and protecting or defending legal claims.
6. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for a longer period where law or a genuine legal claim requires it.
- General enquiries and correspondence: 3 years from the last communication.
- Correspondence related to individual consultations: 5 years from the last interaction.
- Fearless Sleep Library Circle member accounts: for the duration of membership and 2 years after the membership ends. Ending a paid subscription removes access to paid content but does not automatically delete the Circle account. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us.
- Accounting and payment records: 10 years in accordance with applicable legal requirements.
- Substack newsletter: for the duration of subscription; we retain limited opt-out information afterward where necessary to respect that choice and prevent future marketing emails.
- Recordings of individual consultations: consultations are recorded only at the client’s request and are retained for 5 years from the date of the consultation.
- Server logs: retained for a limited period needed for security and troubleshooting, up to 12 months.
7. Marketing emails and former Library members
We distinguish between service messages and marketing messages.
- Service messages are necessary to provide an active booking, membership, payment, or account service.
- Marketing messages include general Fearless Sleep updates, invitations, and offers, including messages sent to former Library members after their paid access ends.
We send marketing messages to current or former Library members only where permitted by applicable law. Every marketing email includes a clear, working unsubscribe option. Choosing not to receive marketing does not affect necessary service messages.
8. Providers we use
We use service providers to run Fearless Sleep. Depending on the service you use, these may include:
- Websupport — website hosting and server logs;
- Substack — newsletter subscriptions and email delivery;
- Calendly — appointment scheduling;
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Zoom — video calls;
- Circle — Fearless Sleep Library membership and community platform.
- Google Analytics 4 — optional aggregate website measurement.
These providers may process data under their own privacy policies and, where applicable, as processors acting on our instructions or as independent controllers for their own purposes.
9. Who we share data with
We share personal data only when necessary to run Fearless Sleep or where law requires it. This may include sharing the relevant data with the providers listed above — for example, an email address with Substack, booking details with Calendly, payment information with Stripe, or account and community information with Circle.
We may also share data with professional advisers or public authorities where necessary to comply with law, protect our rights, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not share personal data with advertisers or social-media platforms for their own advertising purposes.
10. Google Search Console and Google Analytics
We use Google Search Console to understand how Fearless Sleep appears in Google Search. It provides aggregated search-performance information, such as search queries, pages, clicks, country, and device.
Google Search Console does not add a tracking tag or advertising pixel to this website.
Google Analytics is optional. Its code is loaded only after you select Allow analytics, so no Analytics data or cookies are sent before that choice. When you allow analytics, Google Analytics helps us understand aggregate website use, such as pages visited and basic device or browser information. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising or remarketing. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
11. Cookies and external services
We use strictly necessary technologies needed to make the website work and keep it secure.
We offer the following embedded third-party services:
- Substack, which displays the newsletter subscription form. We will not load this form until you choose Load subscription form.
- Calendly, which displays booking calendars. Calendly presents its own cookie notice and consent controls within the embedded calendar before the calendar can be used. Calendly’s handling of cookies and personal data is governed by its own privacy information.
These services may use cookies or similar technologies. You can refuse optional services without losing access to the rest of the website and can change your analytics choice at any time through Cookie settings.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or disclosure. Access to personal data is limited to people and providers who need it to operate Fearless Sleep or provide the requested service.
No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Please contact us promptly if you believe your information has been accessed or used without permission.
13. International data transfers
Some providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, we rely on the safeguards made available by the relevant provider and required by applicable law, such as an adequacy decision, the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism.
14. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you have the right to:
- request access to your personal data;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
- ask us to erase data in certain circumstances;
- ask us to restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive data you provided to us in a portable format where applicable;
- withdraw consent at any time; and
- lodge a complaint with the Slovak supervisory authority, Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky.
To exercise a right, email hello@fearlesssleep.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
15. Children
Fearless Sleep is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, technology, or legal obligations change. The latest version will always be available on this page with the date of the most recent update.
